Talks and Presentations
The Opening: Embracing Change
The Opening session on Feb 10 at 3pm kick-starts a conversation on transformation, featuring keynotes and a talk with expert producers on new technologies, a look into new models and how series are adapting.
The Closing Session
The Closing Session on Feb 15 at 5pm presents where we are and where we are going as a global industry, as experienced by the experts, speakers, and participants of EFM 2022. After deep-diving into a number of topics and issues facing producers and distributors as well as the documentary and series sectors, we’ll examine how the industry is adapting and innovating to stay ahead of the changes of tomorrow.
Rough Cut Presentations - Close Up Initiative
This year we are presenting our new 'Rough Cut Presentations' with the Close Up Initiative. A program for documentary filmmakers from the Middle East and North Africa. Since 2007, they have trained more than 300 filmmakers in the creation of 50+ films. Their films have received acclaimed intenational awards including an EMMY and an Academy award nomination and many more at prestigious festivals such as Sundance, Berlinale, IDFA Hot Docs, to name just a few.
