As for the last two years you will find all documentary activities within the EFM Industry Sessions conference and networking programme as well as an exclusive meeting point for the documentary industry in the Documentation Centre for Displacement, Expulsion, Reconciliation, just a three-minute walk from Gropius Bau. The selected talk formats will focus on highly topical developments in the documentary landscape. Our tailored and pre-scheduled meeting formats Meet the Festivals and Consult the Experts offer the possibility to meet and consult with our international guests, many of them from the documentary landscape.

Our consultations facilitate discussions between participants with projects at all stages and key-figures from the following fields:

Each hour-long session connects you and 4 others with one industry expert.

MEET THE FESTIVALS

Forge connections with top festival programmers and market representatives, discuss current projects and gain insights into the programming and editorial focus of the respective festival. You can book up to three of the 7-minute long one-on-one meetings.

Pre-registration for both formats starts at the end of January 2025 and will be available through the EFM Event Schedule if you are registered for the EFM with an (Online) Market Badge and logged into your account.

Archive Market: Feb 18, 2025

For the fifth time, the EFM shines a light on archives and archival research with an on-site edition of the Archive Market within Café Connect at the Documentation Centre for Displacement, Expulsion, Reconciliation. Representatives of premier, international footage libraries present their archives and invite EFM participants to discover their collections and discuss specific projects. On Tuesday, the Archive Market will be enhanced by two archive-related panels in Café Connect, as well as an archive panel/case study featured in the conference programme. Additionally, an insightful podcast highlighting the crucial work of archives and archive producers will be available online at the beginning of February 2025.

ARCHIVE MARKET – CONSULTATIONS

Renowned archive producers offer walk-in consultations on archival expertise. Consultations will take place throughout Tuesday at the Café Connect within the Documentation Centre for Displacement, Expulsion, Reconciliation.

Pre-registration starts at the end of January 2025 and will be available through the EFM Event Schedule if you are registered for the EFM with an (Online) Market Badge and logged into your account.
