As a part of Berlinale Pro*, the Berlinale Co-Production Market is co-funded by Creative Europe - MEDIA. MDM Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung has been a main supporter of the event since 2004.
Award partners: Since 2004, the VFF Verwertungsgesellschaft für Film und Fernsehen has endowed the VFF Highlight Pitch Award, a monetary award for one selected Talent of the Talent Project Market every year. ARTE is giving the ArteKino International Award to one of the selected projects at the Berlinale Co-Production Market. Since 2015, each year a jury decides which of the projects in the Official Selection receives the Eurimages Co-Production Development Award. A new award will be established in 2025: the Gen Z Audience Award, supported by DFJW/OFAJ.
Since 2006, the Berlinale has cooperated with Frankfurter Buchmesse on Books at Berlinale and other initiatives which aim at bringing the book and film "worlds" closer together.
In order to support producers in their international networking, the Berlinale Co-Production Market also regularly collaborates with other relevant co-production initiatives such as: CineMart Rotterdam, Series Mania, CineLink Sarajevo, Baltic Event, Sofia Meetings, Producers Network Cannes, New Nordic Films Haugesund, connecting cottbus and When East Meets West. Furthermore, the Berlinale Co-Production Market cooperates with organisations such as EFP (European Film Promotion) and the established European producers’ training and network programmes EAVE and ACE.
The FFA - German Federal Film Board is supporting the Berlinale Co-Production Market's activities for upcoming producers.
