Associated Event
Access: On pre-registration
As streaming services continue to dominate, the role of negotiating contracts has become increasingly important.
Our panel will discuss how different partners can play a key part in supporting creators, ensuring fair compensation, and protecting their rights in the context of streaming productions.
We’ll touch on various contractual elements that are crucial when working with streaming services, highlighting potential pitfalls and best practices for creators. Join us for a lively discussion on how to navigate the complexities of contracts and pave the way for successful collaborations in the streaming era.
For the composers there will be special attention to the role of music publishers. What can publishers do to pave the way for a composer? What contractual details should one be careful about when it comes to productions created for streaming services?
Meet Barbara Persyn, talent agent and legal advisor at Belgian publishers and agents Strike a Score, Wendi Pendeza Kazonza, publisher and manager at Norwegian publishers GILT, Pär Frid, successful Swedish film composer - all of them experienced film music professionals who know what they are talking about when it comes to providing music for the big film- and television streaming services.
The seminar is moderated by film composer Jesper Hansen, who as Vice President of ECSA and long time board member of BFM (Danish Film- and Media Composers) has extensive knowledge on music rights and politics.
