Working across animation, VR, live-action, hybrid and documentary forms, the ten exceptional filmmakers of the Short Form Station 2025 explore universal themes such as belonging, community, and alienation. They take inspiration from folklore and myth, and examine how to live with the forces of nature and new technology. In one project, a young girl forms an unlikely bond with a monster. In others, an older woman joins a dating app searching for joy and companionship, a social media challenge goes horribly wrong, and a mysterious Neolithic stone lends itself to a myriad of interpretations.
