For the second time at the European Film Market, the Belarusian Independent Film Academy represents the potential and interests of Belarusian filmmakers who, due to the humanitarian crisis in the country, work either underground or abroad.

From more than 40 applications, the film academy selected eight projects of feature, documentary and animated films at various stages of production – from the script to the finished film. Diverse both in terms of genres and themes, the projects contain the singular experience and perspective of the directors who witnessed the dictatorship and had to preserve free thinking and national culture within it.

The Belarusian Independent Film Academy strives to expand the recognition of Belarusian professionals in the international film industry and to showcase their uniqueness to potential partners.
