Supported by Telefilm Canada, Canada’s vibrant film scene will present itself from a variety of perspectives at the EFM 2018. “Canada in Focus” at the EFM is an important global showcase for Canadian creators that will enable Canadian content to reach new audiences and will create new export opportunities for our industry.

EFM Horizon Events featuring Canadian Participants

EFM Horizon will comprise a number of enriching programme modules, aiming to support the transformation of the film and media sectors through an interdisciplinary approach. Within the framework of this year’s EFM Horizon, various events featuring Canadian participants will highlight Canada’s strengths in creativity and innovation.

Canadian Films at the EFM

A wide-ranging and diverse collection of market premieres and festival favourites from Canada will be presented in the EFM Market Screenings, featuring “First Look”, a selection of clips from upcoming Canadian films that will hit the international circuit this spring as well as a showcase of Canada’s top VR films including works by Felix & Paul.

Berlinale Talents is the annual summit and networking platform for 250 outstanding creatives from all fields of work that represents an important stepping stone in their careers. For six days they will have the opportunity to engage with one another, experts and the public, to critically question their own artistic standpoint and to develop further their film projects. Discover and connect with the Canadian talents that have been selected to participate in the programme for its 2018 edition.
